Resumen:

The presence of As concentrations over the national standards for drinking water, 0.025 mg L-1, implies health risks. Health affectation assessments requires information regarding concentrations, exposure time and water ingestion patterns. The lack of data is the first limitation. The consumption of water of different sources including treated water is the main one. A survey was carried out in two Mexican Cities supplied with water containing As. The main result was that there are not so many cases as was expected. © 2014 Taylor & Francis Group, ISBN 978-1-138-00141-1.
