Resumen:

In this Chapter, we present a review of recently developed differential effective medium models proposed in the literature for determining the high concentrated viscosity of suspensions of particles ranging from spheres and emulsions, to arbitrarily shaped solid particles and porous particles. In one hand, this will allow the reader to understand the validity, utility and and perspectives that this type of rheological models may provide in science and engineering. On the second hand, the excellent comparison between theory and experiments will encourage the reader to use these model in practical applications. © 2014 by Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
