Resumen:

For drugs and chemical products that have been in the vanguard of successful strategies of new therapeutic regimen, the emphasis has been placed on alternative therapies with the power of enhancing their therapeutic values. Natural or chemical drugs used to treat a variety of conditions such as antioxidants and inflammation could induce better curative effect for neurodegenerative diseases and prevent potential deleterious side effects. On this basis, it is necessary to study the neurochemical mechanisms of these products on central nervous system as well as those of related biomarkers. In view of the above and considering the importance of these issues in animal models and human beings, this paper reviews the up-to-date knowledge on this targets and the possible relation between natural or chemical drugs and free radicals in preventing common neurologic disorders and as such offer alternative therapies for such disorders. © 2015 Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
