Resumen:

A new quasi-phase-match coplanar waveguide (CPW) structure used for broadening the optical response of travelling-wave electro-optic Z-cut LiNbO3 modulators is presented. A non-periodic spatial code of CPW with phase-reversal electrode sections was obtained and optimized by a Genetic Algorithm to provide distortion-less temporal response of the modulator in a picosecond range. © 2004 IEEE.
