Resumen:

In this paper three methods of fuzzy control are compared on both their performance in the steady-state and the transient response. This is done by evaluating the performance in terms of raising time, overpass percentage and steady-state error percentage. The first control is based on a Fuzzy Inference System(FIS) Mamdani-type, the second on a Takagi-Sugeno(TS), and the last is a Fuzzy Sliding Mode (FSM) controller [4]. The simulation and experimental results show that an FSM Control has the fastest time response, but its transient response has also the highest overpass values and its output tends to have high-frequency components (chaterring) [5]. The Mamdani-type controller shows a quite acceptable performance, while TS is not so accurate, but their outputs do not have high-frequency components. The design process for an FSM, on the other hand, is simpler than for a Mamdani or a TS approach. © 2003 IEEE.
