Resumen:

LADME refers to the biological pathway which the drugs follow after administration. Such pathway comprises of five processes: liberation, absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion. Each of the processes is closely related with the therapeutic and toxic effects of a drug. Hence, it is extremely important to take into account the way a drug is administered as well as its pharmaceutical presentation. While most of the references on the study of the pathway have been on adult; in children, the studies performed so far has been very little. Nevertheless, the studies on the topic have recently increased for being considered a crucial area of risk. The present chapter takes a deeper look at the pattern of the profile of LADME process in children. © 2018 by Nova Science Publishers, Inc. All rights reserved.
