Resumen:

In Back-to-Back converters, the controlled DC-voltage power port is employed as an integral part of the HVDC systems, variable-speed wind-power units, power electronics transformers (PETs) and other applications. The high variations in the DC-voltage power port tend to propagate disturbances to the AC electrical grids. For this purpose, the application of the active damping control technique applied to the DC regulation loop is proposed in this paper. This is featured by a higher capacity of regulation of the DC-voltage power port in the face of external perturbations or changes in the bidirectional power flow. The mathematical model and simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the PI tuning parameters applied to Back-to-Back converters. © 2017 IEEE.
