Resumen:

Halloysite is a clay mineral of the kaolin group sharing chemical and physical properties attractive to the areas of biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical research (Price et al., 2001; Veerabadran et al., 2007; Vergano et al., 2010; Cornejo-Garrido et al., 2012; and Oh Yah et al., 2012), and for developing technologies related to cancer cell separation, bone implants, cosmetics, control drug delivery (Levis and Deasy, 2002; Hughes and King, 2010; and Oh Yah et al., 2012), dentistry and bone tissue scaffolds (Kelly et al., 2004), vehicle drug delivery systems (Lvov et al., 2008), enzymatic nanoscale reactors (Shchukin et al., 2005), stem cell attachment and proliferation devices (Kommireddy et al., 2006), and adhesion of human dermal fibroblasts, with fibroblasts maintaining their cellular phenotype and spreading (Kommireddy et al., 2006). © 2015 by Apple Academic Press, Inc.
