Resumen:

After the advent of glucocorticosteroids, oral synthetic retinoids have probably been the most important breakthrough in dermatologic therapy in general and in keratinization disorders in particular. Although none of the available retinoids have been approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration for use in children, severe disorders of keratinization typically affect children, often from birth, and oral retinoids have been for many of them the best if not the only effective therapy available. © 2007 by Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
