Resumen:

In this paper the flexural resistance of reinforced concrete beams strengthened with fiber reinforced polymers is computed by using the ACI 440.R2-08 for the case of Mexico, since there are not specific regulations for such cases in the country. The bending capacity is employed to carry out reliability analyses by using a combined approach, which includes the use of the first order reliability method and the point estimate method. © 2017 Taylor & Francis Group, London.
