Resumen:

At the moment, the use of inorganic waste as raw materials for the production of ceramic materials for coating is a viable option for the reuse of toxic materials encapsulated within a ceramic matrix to immobilize contaminants. The combined one is population growth and the constant demand for the electroplating industry generate a good environment for conducting research in this field. The growing production of solid waste generated from biological treatment of wastewater plant and metallic coating promotes research into the effect of incorporating these residues as a substitute raw material in glass-ceramics systems, such as 2SiO2-Al2O3- CaO y 5SiO2 2Al2O3-2MgO. The present work offers the first results of the mineralogical and morphologic analysis of the elaborated materials applied as covering, for those which firstly the glass, later on is obtained it is applied on the surface and finally undergoes a series of thermal treatments, being identified as the predominant phases; Anorthite, Whitlockite, Calcium Aluminum Silicate and Sodium Magnesium Iron Silicate, Calcium Magnesium Hydrogen Phosphate, Diopside, respectively.
