Resumen:

An introduction to the study of the behavior of the acoustic wave propagation in a homogeneous dispersive medium is presented in this work. We consider the stationary problem for a two-fluid channel waveguide. The classical normal mode theory as a solution of the scalar wave equation for an idealized stratified fluid layer lying on a semi-half space is described. Graphical solution of the stationary problem and the transmission losses in dB of the acoustic field are given. A simple calculation of the sound speed in the bubbly mixture that simulates a dispersive medium is computed. The behavior of the acoustic field in a dispersive medium is obtained. Finally, a brief discussion of the effects of the bubbles on the acoustic field in a two-fluid channel waveguide as dispersive medium is given. © 2017 IEEE.
