Resumen:

Motor Current Signature Analysis (MCSA) is a technique which can detect different types of faults such as misalignment, broken rotors, and internal and external bearings. The MCSA uses the current of the motor to detect a difference when the motor is healthy or it start to fails. The main goal of this work is to show how this technique is applied to detect misalignment by using the transient current of the rotor and to verify its operation by applying it to an experimental prototype. © 2019 IEEE.
