Resumen:

Eva Leticia Ortiz ?The way of life in cities has become the cornerstone of environmental issues in modern times. Cities have been rapidly reproduced throughout the world in recent times. The proportion of the population that lives in urban areas has increased from 5 % to 50 % during the last two centuries? (Mitchell 2001, pp. 1-14). The human population is in the process of- irremediable urban transformation. Cities have historically been associated with the evolution and advancement of technology, economy and society. Paradoxically, in large cities, its inhabitants face different types of risks: from space saturation and traffic accidents to noise and air pollution. But urban life also offers benefits to its society; the urban environment displays enormous diversity, constitutes stimulating environments, and offers numerous opportunities. In our increasingly urban society, we ask ourselves if the population considers urban-architectural aspects of the city as environmental risks, and so we consider the possibility of adding them to the original list defined in the literature for civil protection, where only the hydrological and meteorological factors, geological factors, physical-chemical factors, health factors, and socio-organizational factors are recorded The urban-architectural factors, from our point of view, were not contemplated in any of the existing categories; but, due to their impact, they should form an independent category, a separate group. We integrate it with spectacular advertisements, visual contamination, buildings with structural damage, poor drainage, high buildings, lack of green spaces, underground gas networks, noise from cars,?. © Peter Lang GmbH Internationaler Verlag der Wissenschaften Berlin 2020.
