Resumen:

This chapter elaborates on an analysis of the institutions and mechanisms for compliance of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights judgments in Mexico. First, we develop on the two main constitutional trends present in the legal debate to define the hierarchy of international treaties in domestic law. Secondly, we describe the relationship of the Inter-American Court with the key actors for the compliance of judgments within the Mexican State. These actors include the federal executive, the legislative branch, the judiciary, and the civil society. From the analysis of the Mexican cases, we identify significant remaining challenges to achieve the compliance with measures to guarantee access to justice of the victims or the transformation of the contexts that led to the human rights violations. © The Editors and Contributors Severally 2021.
