Resumen:

We propose a highly-sensitive fiber optic sensor based on polarization mode beating techniques for measuring nanometric changes in optical pathlength. The high sensitivity and narrow laser linewidth show a potential application for ultra-sensitive biological measurements. © 2009 Optical Society of America.
