Resumen:

A new model that predicts the conditions of a steam-water mixture flowing through a geothermal well is presented. The effect of the slip velocity, the presence of different flow regimes, as well as the heat transfer between the fluid in the wellbore and the formation are all taken into account. The model proved to be very accurate when tested with geothermal wells presenting different characteristics and all the flow patterns considered. The importance of considering the heat transfer between the fluid and the surrounding media is emphasized.
