Resumen:

The chapter addresses the negative emotions experienced by both the diabetic patient and their partner as a consequence of the disease and the situations of the couple's daily life, which may be the cause and/or effect of the conflicts they have. Based on this logic, it was proposed: (1) to examine the possible differences in negative emotions and reasons for conflict between the diabetic patient and their healthy partner and (2) to explore the relationship between negative emotions and the reasons for conflict perceived in each one of the members of the dyad in pairs where one of the members was diabetic and the other healthy. © The Editor(s) (if applicable) and The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2021.
