Resumen:

Physiology as one of a large cadre of natural sciences is an ever-changing discipline, and one of the greatest challenges for teachers and students of physiology is to adapt to advances in scientific knowledge and technological change. Recent research in science education and the learning sciences suggests that active learning strategies enhance learning and reduce attrition. This chapter is aimed at showing the link between the nature of scientific thinking and the collaborative learning approach. It will show how collaborative learning and group testing methods enable college and university students to develop essential academic skills. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2020.
