Resumen:

The response of buildings to seismic events helps us to evaluate their health condition, this is critical in places with high seismic activity as in Mexico City. In this work, a continuous recording system designed for a triaxial optical accelerometer based on fiber Bragg gratings oriented to structural health monitoring (SHM) is presented. The optical/electrical conversion circuit, the cost-effective data acquisition system (DAS) using a Raspberry Pi and the software design to record and visualize the data are presented. The frequency sample achieved in reading the three channels of the optical accelerometer was 75 Hz, sufficient to record vibrations with a frequency range of 0.5-20 Hz. At the same time, the graphs are displayed locally on a monitor. © 2023 IEEE.
