Resumen:

Healthcare supply chain digitalization is the process of applying digital technologies to healthcare supply chain processes and systems. It includes the use of technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, robotics, and augmented reality to improve supply chain efficiency, precision, and transparency. It includes companies, facilities, and all business activities to supply, manufacture, store, and distribute products. This study presents an overview of current supply chain digitalization processes and a hypothetical example of how it could be migrated from a traditional case to one of digitalization in its early stages. The digitalization process focuses mainly on the collection of information regarding the management of several inventory policies and their impact on key performance indicators. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.
