Resumen:

We demonstrate broadband characterization of 7-km elliptical-core few-mode fiber using an optical vector network analyzer optimized with a Faraday mirror. We show mitigation of polarization-induced fading, enabling accurate measurements of mode-dependent loss and insertion loss. © 2025 Optica.
