Resumen:

Measurements of the nanosecond third order nonlinear optical response exhibited by optically irradiated Au nanoparticles are presented. The nanocomposites were nucleated by an ion-implantation method followed by a thermal annealing. Optical storage based on degenerated two-wave mixing recording is presented. The nonlinear refractive index of a high-purity silica matrix containing Au nanoparticles was modified by nanosecond ablation. Self-diffraction signals allowed us to recover vectorial information associated to the encoding process. © 2016 Taylor & Francis Group, London.
